Le Fonti Winery is located in the town of Panzano, in the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany, just north of Siena, Italy. The winery was founded in 1994 by Vittorio and Federica Mascheroni Stianti who had a passion for producing quality wines. They chose the name "Le Fonti" (the sources) as it was the name of a natural water source that had provided water to the local community for centuries.
Consisting of 35 acres of vineyards, they produce several varietals including Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. The wines produced are organic and the vineyards are managed according to strict environmental standards.

Crafted with passion and expertise by the skilled winemakers at Le Fonti, this Riserva is made from carefully selected Sangiovese grapes, along with a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, that were handpicked at the peak of ripeness. The wine has been aged for 24 months in used French oak barrels, which has given it a complex flavor profile that blends notes of ripe fruit, spice, and toasted oak.
On the palate, the 2016 Le Fonti Chianti Classico Riserva is full-bodied and velvety, with a long, satisfying finish that lingers on the tongue. It is the perfect choice to serve with hearty meat dishes, pasta and aged cheeses.
