The Marun is Matteo Correggia’s flagship Barbera, and it’s a masterclass in how this grape can deliver both richness and elegance. Forget thin or simple Barbera — this is dense, structured, and incredibly coveted.

Correggia was a pioneer of quality winemaking in Roero, and this bottle continues his vision. His estate is now run with precision and soul by his wife and team, honoring tradition while pushing boundaries.

Sourced from a single, high-quality vineyard site ("Marun") in Roero, this is no generic Barbera. The soil composition and meticulous viticulture give it real depth and complexity.
It’s aged in French oak for around a year, giving it those seductive notes of spice, cocoa, and tobacco without overwhelming the fruit. Barbara with a velvety mouthfeel and beautifully integrated tannins.

TASTING NOTES:

Ripe black cherries, dark plum, balsamic hints, warm spices, and a touch of mocha. Balanced acidity keeps it vibrant, making it fantastic with food — think rich pastas, grilled meats, or mushroom risotto.
