2000 Ducru Beaucaillou Smoke Show!

Highlight from last night was the 2000 Ducru Beaucaillou. This Bordeaux is just now coming into its prime with vivacious violets, plump plums, ripe raspberries, and saturated soil. While it was a powerhouse out of the gate after half a hour in the decanter it finally started to soften and continued to evolve over the next 3 hours. Excellent bottle!
