Harlan and Opus One

Highlights from last night...

The 04 Harlan was young and tight but after almost 2 hours in the decanter it finally fleshed out showing pipe tobacco, black cherry, black currants, and vanilla spice.

The 97 Opus was the star of the show. Still massive even after 23 years of age. Needing a hour in the decanter, one it opened up we got notes of black/red cherry, spearmint, worn leather, and cooking spice.
